Yokohama India - YIN Warranty Policy

1. ELIGIBILITY: This warranty applies to all passenger car tyres and SUV tyres (excluding RFT & AE30^ tyres) sold only by authorized dealers of YOKOHAMA INDIA PVT LTD.

2. WHAT TYRE IS WARRANTED (AND HOW LONG): YOKOHAMA passenger car tyres and SUV tyres are covered under the mentioned Program for the usage Lifetime* of tyres from the date of sales.




Usage *Lifetime of the tyres is considered as 60 months from date of sales.

^AE30 pattern sold and registered from 1st October 2023 will be eligible for Lifetime Protection Program (LPP). Not applicable for OE tyres.


3. All the claims under the LPP are subject to warranty registration done on Yokohama Mobile application only through authorized dealers of YOKOHAMA INDIA PVT LTD within 07 days of sales of tyres. Customers will receive a unique warranty registration number on their registered phone number via SMS or WhatsApp at the end of the registration process. This unique registration number needs to be provided during the claim.

4. Exclusioin:

Any intentional damages (multiple pin hole on sidewall / Cut with the help of sharp object, tempered tyre serial number or groove depth).

Tread cut serviceable (repairable puncture on tread).

Any uneven or irregular tread wear, spot wear, flat spots or any other vehicle related condition like wheel misalignment, wheel imbalance, improper or no tyre rotation, improper inflation pressure, faulty brakes, suspension parts, etc.

Bead Damage due to improper mounting / demounting practices.

Repaired or retreaded tyres, damage from oil or chemical action, fire.

Improper application of tyres size or specification.

Tyres put to any competitive usage, road racing, tempering.

Any ride and handling complaint after initial 1.6mm wear.

Warranty registration after 07 days from date of original purchase, tyres registered with improper customer, vehicle and invoice details.


5. Lifetime Protection Program is applicable in India only on YOKOHAMA Tyres for all patterns except Run-Flat Tyres from 0123 serial code, manufactured or legally imported and sold by YOKOHAMA INDIA PVT LTD.


6. ADJUSTMENT BY TREAD WEAR PROPORTION:

A.    If YOKOHAMA tyres become unserviceable under specified conditions, it will be warranted on tread wear prorated basis.

B.    Tread wear would be calculated by the percentage of the groove depth between original depth and remaining groove depth.

C.   In the event that the exact product claimed for replacement is unavailable during the warranty period due to any reason, a suitable alternative product of the appropriate size and pattern will be offered as a replacement. If no suitable alternative product is available, the claim will be settled by issuing a credit note for the pro-rata amount, excluding GST. 

 

7. This warranty isn’t transferable to another customer.

 

8. Warranty registrations and any subsequent claims are subject to audit and validation of warranty and claim details by Yokohama India Pvt. Ltd.

 

9. All tyres which have been rejected and are not collected within 21 days from the date of intimation of rejection will be subject to disposal. Yokohama India or its authorized dealers will not be held liable for any loss or damages resulting from such disposal

 

10. GENERAL EXCULSIONs: All obligations or liabilities for loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of vehicle or other incidental or consequential damages are hereby excluded.

 

11. YOKOHAMA INDIA PVT LTD should not be held liable for any statement, representation, commitment, deal, promise or agreement made by its dealers, employees, representatives or OEMs that in any way differs from the terms mentioned in this warranty.

 

12. YOKOHAMA INDIA PVT LTD reserves the right to change or modify the terms and conditions of Lifetime Protection Program without having any obligation of informing or giving prior notice to anyone.
